Visitation for Vernice Beavers will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd., Today, Thursday, August, 31st, from 4-8 p.m. The homegoing, celebrating the life of Vernice Beavers, 87, will be held on Friday, September 1, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary. Interment will follow immediately. Vernice was born 1918 in Hannha, Oklahoma to Amos and Stella Brown, who preceded her in death. She moved to Bakersfield in 1963, with husband, Abram Beavers who also preceded her in death. Vernice leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, David Beavers, Michael Sr. and wife, Henrietta Beavers of Bakersfield, CA; daughter, Sharon and husband, Oral Lewin of Sacramento, CA; 22 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, friends, and loved ones.
