Reinhardt G. Hessel, 89, of Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Park Lawn Home.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. The Rev. Julian Resch, O. Praem, will officiate. Mr. Hessel's body will be cremated.

Mr. Hessel was born Feb. 18, 1890, at Francis Creek, son of the late Charles and Mary Blimel Hessel. He married Louise Kolicek in 1913 at Francis Creek, and owned and operated Hessel Music House at Manitowoc for 56 years. He was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church, Knights of Columbus Council 710 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 706.

Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Ione Hessel of Manitowoc; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Grace and Otto Wernecke of Mesa, Ariz., and Ruth Kinzel and Gladys and Gervase Wilhelm of Manitowoc; a daughter-in-law, Eva Niquette of Manitowoc, 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A son, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of arrangements.

Notes from Mishicot
The marriage of Miss Louise Kolicek of Mishicot and Reinhardt Hessel of Francis Creek, took place Tuesday, Oct. 6, in St. Ann's Church at Francis Creek, Rev. Braun of Kellnersville officiated.

The bride wore a gown of white brocaded silk and silk shadow lace with a beautiful girdle of white satin and a long veil draped bonnet effect with a wreath of locust and smilax.

The groom is a prosperous young businessman. For years he has been in the employ of his brother, C. J. Hessel as a clerk in the Hessel and Ewen General Merchandise establishment at Francis Creek. For a year, he has been running their branch store at Rockwell. His building is a present under construction at Rockwell where he intend starting the General Merchandise Business as soon as completed.

Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Reinhardt Hessel will make their home with the groom's parents in Francis Creek.

The bridesmaids were Theresa Hessel, the maid of honor, sister of the groom and Antoionette Kolicek, sister of the bride assisting. Both wore gowns of pale blue silk crepe and shadow lace. Chas. Kolicek acted as best man with Tony Krumdick assisting. Little Beatrice Herman, the flower girl was in white and carried the bride's shower bouquet of bridal roses and locust, while little Gardner Hessel was ring bearer and assisted the flower girl by carrying the streamers.

Mr. and Mrs. Hessel left for Eau Claire Oct. 7, where they will remain for a few days. They will be at home to friends after Nov. 1st.
