A true son of Texas, he proudly served America in WWII, flying P-38's in the Pacific. Back home in Texas, he graduated in 1951 from UT and went into the insurance field in Odessa, Texas, where he met his wife of 46 years Della L. Daniel who passed away in November 2004. Relocating to Houston in 1963 they raised three children and rejoiced in five grandchildren. He was a kind and generous person, a humble man with a keen dry wit who enjoyed people and many friends everywhere he went. He studied WWII air force history, was an avid reader and was known for his repairman skills.
