(1908 - 1973)

Clarence (Butch) Kornely, 65, of Francis Creek, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening at the family cottage near Shawano.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Haen will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Kornely was born Mar. 5, 1908, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Charles and Lillian Meyer Kornely. He married Blanche Shimon June 25, 1947, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple operated a farm at Rockwood for 23 years, until June of 1972, moving to Francis Creek in November of 1972. He was a member of the Wisconsin Holstein Assn., 20 year member of Lakeshore Farm Management, served on the ASCS Committee, former Farm Bureau member and member of the board of directors of the Rockwood Fire Department. He was also vice president of the Francis Creek-Rockwood Senior Citizens, a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Anne Catholic Church and was the present secretary of the Catholic Knights, Branch 86, of Francis Creek.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, a daughter-in-law; three brothers, Earl, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Paul of Mishicot and Gerald, of Shoto; two sisters, Mrs. James (Mary Ann) Murphy, of Castro Valley, Calif., and Mrs. William (Irma) Rank, of Manitowoc; two brothers, Aloysius and Charles, preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Friday until the time of service Saturday. Prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Friday by Father Haen, the Catholic Knights and the Holy Name Society.
