(1922 - 2010)

Elizabeth A. Massman, age 88, formerly of Rockwood, died on Tuesday morning, Sept. 21, 2010, at Hannah Home II in Manitowoc.

Elizabeth was born on Jan. 29, 1922, in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Long) Mangin. She married Walter Massman on July 18, 1944, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2000. Elizabeth worked for many years at Aitken-Reed until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include six children and their spouses: Charlotte Baker, Rockwood and her special friend, Charles Sydow; Jean (Jim) Hill, Taus; Kathleen (Gary) anda, Mishicot; Joan (Robert) Kellner, Manitowoc; Margaret (John) Neuchter, Mishicot; Peter Massman, Rockwood; twelve grandchildren: Shelley (Richard) Lawler; Christopher Shimek; Brent Endries and his fiancée Jenna Johnsrud; Jeffrey (Jill) Hill; Jennifer (Everett) Albrecht; Jason (Emily) Hill; Matthew Kellner; Elizabeth Kellner; Kathryn Gomez; Billy Neuchter; Elizabeth Massman; Adam Massman; eleven great-grandchildren: Devon Lawler; Emma Hill; Jack Albrecht; Brooke Hill; Morgan Hill; Olivia Gomez; Payton Gomez; Deklin Steiner; Isaiah Massman; Nathan Massman; Kylie DeGrand; one sister and brother-in-law: Margaret (Orie) Schisel, Whitelaw; one sister-in-law: Mary Mangin, Reedsville. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Massman; three brothers: Michael Mangin Sr., Paul Mangin, George Mangin; one sister: Lorraine Eiles.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. The Rev. Paul Paider will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home in Kellnersville from 5 to 8 p.m. A parish prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.
