John Lathrop Gale, 78, of Pomona, CA, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, CA.
He had moved recently to live with his youngest son John and family, in Oakdale, CA. Mr. Gale was born to Helen Dorothy Widger and Paul Bernard Gale in Seattle, Washington, and relocated to Southern California at the age of three. He served in the Navy and then built a 31-year career with General Dynamics Pomona, retiring in 1982.
His children, Michael Howard Gale of Cincinnati, OH, Patrick Keith Gale of Pleasanton, CA, and John Lathrop Gale II of Oakdale, CA; brother Roger Widger Gale of Arizona; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive him.
His wife Celeste "Jane" Gale preceded him in death.
His remains will be laid to rest with his wife, at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
