Mrs. Robert (Irene) A. Novak, age 62, of 3210 Shoto Road, Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 6, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2002 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. The Rev. Theodore Hendricks will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Irene was born Sept. 28, 1939 at Manitowoc, daughter of Anna Seidl Hutterer and the late John Hutterer. She attended St. Anne Grade School in Francis Creek and graduated from Mishicot High School in 1957. On July 20, 1957 she was married to Robert L. Novak at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. The couple recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Irene worked for many years at Holy Family Hospital and was currently employed at the Manitowoc Health Care Center. Irene was a life long member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband: Robert, of rural Two Rivers; seven children: Connie (Duane) Lambert of Francis Creek; Cathy (Randall) Roth of Sheboygan Falls; Teresa (Dale) Strouf of St. Nazianz; Jodi (Scott) Rogala of Oshkosh; Jeff (Tracey) Novak of Loyal, Wis.; Mark Novak of Rockwood and his fiancee: Joanna Oswald: Mary Novak of Manitowoc and her special friend Todd Wiltman; her mother. Anna Hutterer of Francis Creek; 16 grandchildren: Dustin Huletz; Chad Steffen; Zach Roth; Donovan, Devin and Dana Strout Tara Skarda; Brandon, Hailey and Britta Rogala; Jacob, Brittany and Kyle Novak; Alexander and Courtney Novak; Heather Hartman; one great-granddaughter: Ashley Staggs; one sister. Janet Brockhoff of rural Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Kenneth (Joyce) Hutterer of rural Manitowoc; John M. (Joan) Hutterer of rural Manitowoc; her mother-in-law: Dorothy Novak of Manitowoc; two aunts: Verienna Hutterer of Branch; Anna Hutterer of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.
She was preceded in death by her father: John Q. Hutterer; her father-in-law: Joseph Novak; her brother-in-law: Melvin Brockhoff; one nephew: Stevie Hutterer; aunts and uncles also preceded her in death.
Relatives and friends may call at the Reinhold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville, on Thursday (TONIGHT) from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a parish prayer service held at 7:30 p.m. tonight led by Father Hendricks.
