MRS. JONES
Mrs. Mary Dean Jones, 83, of Vidalia, formerly of Marietta, died Thursday in Vidalia. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Marietta City Cemetery, with Rev. Joseph T. Walker officiating. Mayes Ward Funeral Home, Marietta, is in charge of local arrangements. The family requests that in lieu of flowers friends make contributions to the Paul Anderson Youth Home in Vidalia or the church of their choice. Mrs. Jones was a native of Rome and resided in Marietta for many years before moving to Albany. Since 1962 she had lived in Vidalia with her daughter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta. She was the widow of the late Franklin Chandler Jones, Sr. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. G. H. Achenbach, Vidalia; son, Franklin Chandler Jones, Miami, Fla.; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
