Emil A. Schultz, 70, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Sunday noon at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. David Worgull of Mishicot officiating. Burial will be in Francis Creek Cemetery. Graveside rites will be conducted by Drews-Bleser Post of the American Legion.

Mr. Schultz was born May 12, 1893, in Town of Cato, son of the late Wencel and Frances Shimon Schultz. He was a World War I veteran, having served from Jan. 18, 1918, to Feb. 9, 1919, as a private in the 15th Casual Co. detachment. He married the former Helen Petska June 12, 1923 at Greenstreet and the couple farmed until 1952 moving to Francis Creek. He was an employe of Mirro Aluminum Co. from 1952 until 1959.

Survivors are a son, Tony, two daughters, Mrs. Robert Gauger of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, and Mrs. Wallace Mercer of Brookfield, two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Bolzenthal and Mrs. Emma Kalista of Manitowoc and 11 grandchildren. A son, Lt. Raymond Schultz who was a pilot in the Air Force was killed during World War II in France. Four brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be sent
to Rockwood Lutheran Church.
