James Franklin Catron was born March 5, 1887 to Frank and Ellen Dix Catron. He married Josephine (Josie) Etta Boyer Leonard in 1909. To this marriage was born 14 children including 2 sets of Twins. He died in January 1941 of a heart attack. Coronary Thrombosis. James F. Catron was a farmer by trade and raised most of everything they the family ate to survive. As of 2015 2 of his children still live one is 89 and the other 93. His wife passed away in 1965. One of the twins died at the age of about 6 months. James worked really hard all his life to provide for his family. My Mother was his daughter when she was young they called her Ella May, I knew her as Eleanor and she lived to be 91.
UPDATE: Aug, 2016 his daughter Mildred passed away July 29, 2016 at the age of 94, she was buried with her husband Ray in Florida, one surviving son Kermit still survives and resides in Roanoke, VA.

I have many memories of my childhood with this family, they all became adults except Roy, Frank died in Pennsylvania in a shooting. Robert (Bob) died in a car accident in Pennsylvania leaving behind 6 children and a wife. Rheadied in a farming accident leaving 4 children and a wife. Richard became a school teacher and died at a young age of about 50 in Luray, Va. Helen passed away in Orlando, Fl at her sister Cleo house from cancer. Carl passed away in 1972 in his home from a self inflicketed gunshot wound. Alice passed away in Lexington, SC of cancer. Nancy passed away in Orlando Florida area. Otis died in Aiken, SC also of cancer.
