Ruby DeBord Cooper passed away October 11, 1989 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on February 1, 1914 in Magoffin County, the daughter of William Hale and Susan Shepherd, both of whom precedes her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Parker Cooper; two children, Stephen DeBord and Ruth Ann Bowen; three step children, Betty Susan Hebling, Adrian Pyms and William Howard DeBord; two brothers, Chandler Hale and Aaron M. Hale; three sisters, Sallie Hale Pulley, Pearlie Hicks and Ruth Roberts.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday with burial in the Cooper family cemetery.
