Clarence E. Du Mond, 83, of Santa Maria, CA passed away on November 20, 2015. Clarence (Steve) was born in Sidney, New York on March 14, 1932. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1951 and served four years in Europe and North Africa. He was honorably discharged in 1955. He returned to Sidney, New York where he later met his future wife. They were married on July 5, 1958. They moved to Southern California in 1960. After owning his own barber shop and working in the pool industry for many years, he relocated to Santa Maria in 1980 to open a Taylor Rental Center, now known as Party Place & Rental Center. Steve enjoyed gardening and carpentry. He also loved to travel. He enjoyed cooking and barbequeing.
An inurnment will be held at the Memory Gardens at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society. To leave a condolence for the family visit www.dudleyhoffmanmortuary.com
