Ella Mae Tunnell--Services for Ella Mae Tunnell, 92, Wichita Falls, formerly of Colfax, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, at Colfax Methodist Church with Bro. Nathan Hodge officiating.--Burial was in Colfax Cemetery under direction of Eubank Funeral Home Inc., Canton.--Mrs. Tunnell died July 25,2005, in Wichita Falls.--She was born January 13,1913, in Denton County. She was a retired school teacher,teaching in Wichita Falls,Bellevue, County Line, Irvingand Fort Worth. She had two poetry collections published after retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Watson Baker; and husband, Max Tunnell Sr., in 1995. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Max and Mary Tunnell Jr., Garland, and John and Jennifer Tunnell,Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Leah Ford and John Tunnell Jr.; great-grandsons, John Tyler and Travis Ford; sisters,Tommye Sue Smith and Marguerite Gardenhire; numerous nieces and nephews.
