....................2) Thomas H Darnell 1848-1867 was the son of Frances Barnett & William J Darnell. Though not related to William Truman, Thomas was a cousin of mine in that Frances Barnett was a sister of my great grandmother, Malissa Barnett New.
Thomas Darnell’s sister, Clara E Darnell, married Samuel W. Hutchison (son of Elizabeth Ballard & Samuel W Hutchison). Elizabeth Ballard Hutchison married William Hudson (2nd wife) and was a step-mother to Nancy Truman’s mother, Aletha Jane Hudson Truman Florida.
....................3) Robert Compere of Tennessee (of French ancestry) who came to San Sab a after the Civil War. He was a Confederate veteran and a POW during that conflict. His wife was Rebecca Allen Compere from Missouri. The had five children at the time of his murder . She married Turner Haggard. She then married David Cameron. She is buried in Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Beckham County, Oklahoma.
