MANITO, Ill. — Rev. Aloysius B. Majewski Jr. 50, of 21819 N. County Road 3300 East, Manito, passed away at 9:56 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.

He was born Nov. 29, 1960, in Savannah, Ga., the son of Aloysius B. and Linda D. Collins Majewski Sr. He married Marjorie Frenette on Aug. 11, 1984, in Michigan. She survives.

Also surviving are his father, Aloysius Majewski Sr. of Rochester, Mich.; his mother, Linda Majewski of Perry, Ga.; one daughter, Brittany Majewski of Manito; three sons, Christopher Majewski of Manito, Dustin Majewski of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jakob Majewski of Manito; one granddaughter, Lyla Nicole Majewski of Manito; one sister, Angela L. (Mike) Cline and one brother Daniel M. Majewski, both of Perry, Ga.

One son, Zachary Majewski, preceded him in death in 1989.

Rev. Majewski worked with his father and brother in the carpentry business for eight years.

He received his B.A. in 2001 from Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Mich. He was ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hamburg, Mich. on June 25, 2006.

He was installed as pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manito in July 2006, where he continued to serve faithfully until the Lord called him home.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Michigan fan. He enjoyed fishing, loved his family dearly and cherished the opportunity to serve his Lord Jesus Christ.

Internment will be in Milford, Michigan at a later date.
