Antonio (Tony) Zucchi, 88, of Manitowoc Health Care Center, formerly of 5619 Lime Lane, Route 2, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, February 6, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 9:45 am Monday at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and 10:30 am at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Rev. Donald Schneider and Rev. John Haen with burial to follow at St. Anne Cemetery, Francis Creek. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Drews Bleser Post Number 88.

Mr. Zucchi was born March 5, 1897 in Caltrono, Italy, son of the late Juseppe and Rosa Zucchi. Mr. Zucchi came to the United States in 1914 where he lived at Quarry, Wisconsin. Mr. Zucchi worked at the Standard Lime Company. In 1928 he moved to Rockwood where he worked for Rockwell Lime Company as a fireman, retiring in 1962. Mr. Zucchi was a Veteran of World War I, serving with the United States Army. He married the former Mary Balzen on October 26, 1929 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Mr. Zucchi was a member for 45 years of the American Legion Drews Bleser Post Number 88 and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Barbara Zucchi of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Joseph Sperl of Manitowoc and Judy Ann and Andy Kasmer of Hanover Park, Illinois; a brother and a sister-in-law, Sylvio and Nena Zucchi of Caltrono, Italy; two sisters, Mrs. Nanna Antonelli of Chiuppano, Italy and Mrs. Amilia Dal’Ferro of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survived. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 pm to 8:30 pm Sunday afternoon. A prayer service held be held at 8 pm Sunday evening led by Father Don Schneider.
