Buried with Daniel Shryock.∼Sophia was one of thirteen children born to Edward DesJardin and Mary Ann Nicholas. The family lived in Potosi, Wisconsin, Dubuque, Iowa and Minneapolis, Minnesota. While living in Minneapolis, Sophia met and married David Mann Allan (1856-1955) on 16 November 1882. They were the parents of three children: William Mann Allan (25 August 1883-6 April 1910); Mary Elizabeth(Mae) Allan Saling (23 July 1885-5 April 1966) (memorial # 3438232) ; and David Edward Allan (4 January 1890-1 January 1975). Note: Both of their sons, William (memorial # 33480781) and David (memorial # 32166420) are also buried in Lakewood Cemetery. Sophia died of consumption on 18 January 1891 in Minneapolis. She is buried alongside her mother, Mary Ann. Note: I found Sophia's death record on familysearch.org. Two are listed: (18 July 1891 and 18 Jan. 1891). Both say birth year ~1863. Her gravestone says: "DIED JAN. 18, 1891; AGED 29 Y'S, 10 Mo's"
