(From obituary) "Levi Lester Palmer, better known as Lee, the 10th child of Isaac H. Palmer and Alice Elizabeth Holmes, was born September 6, 1891, in Preston, Idaho. When he was three years old his parents came by covered wagon to Eden, where he spent his boyhood years. It was in Eden that he met his wife, Etta Kempton. They were married July 31, 1911, at Solomonville. While living in Eden he farmed a number of farms. He moved his family to Thatcher in 1933, and took a job with the state highway department. Then he went to work in Bylas, on the Indian reservation, where he worked eight years teaching the Indians how to farm and improve their living conditions. When he first went there, there were no houses and many babies died because of cold and disease. He taught them to build small homes and keep their children warm and more sanitary. Lee served eight years in the Graham County Sheriff's office as deputy. He passed away suddenly August 18, at the Safford Inn Hospital."
