Jacqueline “Jackie” Geren, 87, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at her home.
She was a member of Prospect Church of God. She enjoyed fishing and camping and she loved taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Gaston and Elizabeth Carland Gaston; daughter, Patricia Ann West; and siblings: Estelle Cartwright, Evelyn Murray, “Bill” Owenby and Wilber Gaston.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Eugene Geren, of Georgetown; children: Linda Martin and husband, Edwin, Rebecca Cooper and Vickie Thompson, all of Georgetown; four grandchildren: Enloe West and wife, Melgena, of Georgetown, Kimberly Cox of Chattanooga, Samantha Hicks and husband, Andrew, of Cleveland and Matt Graham and wife, Ashley, of Chattanooga; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Gann officiating.
Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
Her family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
