FRANK H. COOKINGHAM
CHERRY CREEK. June 26, — Frank H. Cookingham died at his home Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock, aged 80. He was a son of Hiram W. and Rhoda Cookingham, born in the town of Brant, Erie county, June 8, 1854, and in 1867 moved with his parents to Cherry Creek, where he had since resided. He was one of the more prosperous farmers of western New York.
Mr. Cookingham was a member of the First Baptist church, which he served as a deacon and trustee for many years. Politically he was a Republican and had been assessor for a number of terms. He was also an active member of the local grange.
Mr. Cookingham married Nellie J. Allnatt of Cherry Creek on Feb. 10, 1876. To them were born six daughters, five of whom survive; Mrs. G. H. Foster of Cherry Creek, Mrs. J. B. Waters of South Dayton, Mrs. R. F. Potter of Cumberland, Md., Miss Mary Cookingham of Peking, China, and Miss Clarice Cookingham of Oneida. Mrs. Ada Wollaston and the mother died several years ago. In 1929 he married Mrs. Mary Fairbanks, who survives him.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p. m., at the home in North Main street and at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist church, Rev. J. H. Reinert of Mayville, a former pastor, assisted by Rev. Vera U Dunham, will officiate. Interment will be in Highland cemetery.
