Fabiola Dionne, 87, of 3 Polar Bear Path, co-owner with her first husband, the late Emilien Chicoine, of the former Chicoine Liquor Store, Woonsocket, for more than 35 years, died Monday at the Fair View Manor, South Daytona Beach. She was the wife of Gerard Dionne.
Born in St. Marcel, Quebec, a daughter of the late Hormidas and Marie Ann (Desautels) Marcotte, she lived in Cumberland and Woonsocket before moving to Florida in 1985.
Mrs. Dionne was a member of Cercle Marie Louise, and the Royal Travelers, both in Woonsocket.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Armand R. Chicoine of Woonsocket; a stepson, Gerard Dionne Jr. of Jacksonville; three stepdaughters, Muriel St. Martin of Lincoln, and Lorraine Sutherland and Suzanne Dubois, both of Woonsocket; a brother, Clarence Marcotte of Athol, Mass.; two sisters, Julia Desrochers of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and Jeanne Parenteau of Woonsocket; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Emilien Chicoine Jr.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from Menard's Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at Precious Blood Church, Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, Mass.
