OTTUMWA - -- Helen L. Aeschliman, 78, of Ottumwa died July 17, 1996 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born March 30, 1918 in Davis County to Roy and Louie Stockham Graves. She married Wendell Aeschliman Oct. 26, 1940, he died Oct. 16, 1986.
She moved to Ottumwa in 1941. She worked for John Morrell & Co for 13 years before retiring in 1873.
She is survived by three daughters, Pat Mason of Iowa City, Jan Martin of Tulsa, Okla. and Rebecca Melton of Mishawaka, Ind.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Louis Graves of Bloomfield; a half-brother, John Graves of Bloomfield; two half-sisters, Bonnie Glosser of Ottumwa and Mary Bragg of Bloomfield;
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Shrine of Memories Funeral Home, the Rev. Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Shrine of Memories Mausoleum.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Ottumwa Public Library or the Wapello County Historical Society.
