Death in This City
of Mrs. Mary Hersey Fairfield,
of Saco, Me.
Yesterday morning, at the home of Mrs. Henry F. Brown, occurred the death of her mother, Mrs. Mary Hersey Fairfield, after an illness of about four weeks. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon and will be strictly private. The remains will be taken to Saco, Me. for interment, accompanied by Mrs. Brown and her brother, John Fairfield. Mrs. Fairfield was 73 years of age and the widow of Capt. John Fairfield, a sea captain. She had made her home in Saco for eight years, and came West to Chicago, last winter to obtain benefit from a change of climate. She has been with her daughter for a number of months. Death was unexpected, but it came quietly and peacefully.
