Beverly Mae Gysi, 71, of El Centro, passed away Thusday, February 23, 2006.

Beverly was born August 30, 1934 in Flint, Michigan. She worked as a teacher's aid at El Centro School District. After her retirement Beverly worked as a volunteer at El Centro Regional Medical Center for many years.

Beverly enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her friends, and traveling to visit her many relatives.

Memorial services will be held privately.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Thomas Gysi, Sr.; daughters, Debbie (Yerg) Gilstrap of Fredericksburg, VA, and Susan (Gysi) Creighton of Wolcott, CT; son, Jeff Cook of San Diego, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Jr. (Felicia) Gysi of Holtville; grandchildren, Missy Decker and husband, Keith, Amanda Johnson and Wilbert Johnson of Fredericksburg, VA, Thomas Gysi III of San Diego, Raymond and Jacob Creighton of Wolcott, CT; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Brianna, and Jason Decker of Fredericksburg, VA; sisters, Ruth Breckenridge of CA, Maxine (Hall) Koch and Martha Alberts of MI. and brothers, Carl Cook and Wayne Cook of MI.

Beverly had son Jeff Cook in 1951, when she was 16 years old. His biological father is not known.

Beverly presumably married unknown Yerg sometime between 1953-1957. They had one child in 1958, daughter Debbie. It's unknown if he passed or they divorced.

Beverly married Thomas Gysi in Carson City, Nevada, on December 23, 1960, when she was 26 years old. They had (2) children, Thomas Jr and Susan. They were divorced on April 25, 1978, in Imperial County, California, after 17 years of marriage. She was 43 years old.

Beverly married John H Bowlan in Imperial County, California, on May 19, 1978, when she was 43 years old. They were divorced on June 6, 1983, in Imperial County, California, after 5 years of marriage. She was 48 years old.

Beverly remarried Thomas Paul Gysi in Clark County, Nevada, on July 28, 1984, when she was 49 years old.
