Linda Sue Westphal, age 67, of Battle Creek and formerly of Georgetown Township, died Tuesday December 15, 2015 at her home.
Linda was born February 15, 1948 in Battle Creek, to Ned and Veda (Fredrickson) Curtiss and was a 1965 graduate of Harper Creek High School.
Linda resided in the Hudsonville, MI area from 1977 until 2003, when she returned to Battle Creek. Linda had worked at several greenhouses in the Hudsonville area. Her greatest joy came from being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Linda was an avid bowler and been active in the Fairlanes, Hudsonville Lanes and Park Center Lanes, bowling leagues. Linda was a member of the Overflow Church in Battle Creek.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rick Westphal Jr., a daughter, Annette (David) VeNard, of Jenison, grandchildren, Erick (Brigitte) VeNard, Benjamin, Michael and Victoria VeNard, Aaron VeNard, a son, Ryan (Tracey) Westphal, of Grandville, grandchildren, Timothy, Sarah, Lucas, and Marcus Westphal, a son, Kyle (Linda) Westphal of Cedar Springs, MI, grandchildren, Kaleb Wesphal and Bethany (Daniel) Nowak and her mother, Veda Jackson of Battle Creek.
Linda was preceded in death by her son Brad Westphal.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, December 17th, at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Friday at the Georgetown Township Cemetery.
