Mrs. Evelyn Beane Thompson, 67, of 1802 Chesapeake Dr., died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998, at N.C. Baptist Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998, at Centenary United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.

A native of Siler City, Mrs. Thompson was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, the Pittard Sunday School Class and Cole Fellowship. She was also a lifetime member and served as chairman for various functions of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Thompson was also active with the Stephens Ministry. She was predeceased by her father, Elijah Beane and her brother, Paul Beane.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Mr. Lloyd E. Thompson of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and John Northcote; son, Rev. Eric Thompson, all of Greensboro; mother, Eula Beane; sisters, Myrtle Stephens, Nancy Burke, all of Siler City; brothers, Chaplain Eugene Beane of Fayetteville, James Beane of Greensboro, Dwight Beane, Donald Beane, both of Siler City, and granddaughter, Megan Northcote of Greensboro.
