Sarah Ruth (Bowler) Worrell went to be with the Lord on Wed. December 16, 2015. Sarah was born June 18, 1919 at Leedstown in Westmoreland County. She was a life-long resident of Westmoreland. Her parents were Minnie Alice Charlton Bowler and William Muscoe Bowler. Orphaned at age nine, she was raised by Louis and Minnie Inscoe of Rollins Fork. They did the right thing during a time when right was commonplace. Sarah was a homemaker all of her adult life. She loved gardening, cooking, canning and sharing it. She was a life-member of Grace United Methodist Church, Rollins Fork. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and participated in all church activities. She read her bible every day. Sarah saw the good in everyone she met and had many close friends. She loved the Lord and is with him now. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard Owen Worrell. Sarah is survived by two sons, Richard Lewis Worrell and Thomas William Worrell; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. A service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 18 in Grace United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
