"Stevie" lived on Crestwood Drive in Twinsburg and was sledding at the old school with his 7-year-old brother Doug and a neighbor friend. The boy’s formed a sled train and proceeded down the snow packed hill, but as fate might have it the train was broken and the first sled overturned, and Stevie on the second sled ran into the first with the runner puncturing his left eye and damaging his brain. His father rushed him to Suburban Hospital where little Stevie passed away. Stevie was a third grader at St. Barnabas and was survived by his brothers Doug and Gregory and his sister Deborah. I didn’t know Stevie but I thought of Stevie and his family every time I took my sons sledding at the Old School. Dale Diersing
