Union Civil War veteran and member of Eugene GAR Post 7. Served in Company D, 51st Missouri Volunteer Infantry when he was just 14 years old. His father and brother also served in the Union Army.
Mr. Endicott was the son of Jacob Endicott and Cassie Ann Mikels. He married Margaret Isabel Stairs.
This grave went unmarked for 73 years. In 2007 a proper headstone was placed by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. A memorial cenotaph was also placed among his comrades in the GAR plot.
