Passed away Saturday afternoon July 3, 2010 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper in Saginaw after a brief illness at the age of 82 years. Betty was born August 23, 1927 in Merrill, MI to the late Benedict and Mary (Phalen) O'Toole and has resided in this area all of her life. Betty was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Freeland and was very strong in her Catholic faith. She also enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Houghton Lake, shopping with her twin sister Patty and spending time with her grandchildren.

On January 18, 1964 Betty married Adolph A. "Rudy" Beyer, he survives her. Also survivng are a son: Jim (Tammy) Beyer of Saginaw, two grandchildren: Justin and Kenedee, two brothers: Robert (Doreen) O'Toole of Merrill, William O'Toole of Merrill, three sisters; Grace Dean of Midland, Sister Marie Benedict O'Toole of Grand Rapids, Patricia Wurtzel of Hemlock. Two brothers; Dominic O'Toole and Fr. Al O'Toole and two sisters; Sister Marie Bernard O'Toole and Dorothy Rousseau have predeceased Betty.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 7, 2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Freeland. Rev. Fr. Larry Pashak will officiate with entombment in Chapel Hill Mausoleum in Freeland. Friends may call at the Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Homes Inc. , 310 E. Washington, Freeland on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and then at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In Lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Agnes Catholic Church, Freeland or the donor's favorite charity.
