A School Girl's Creed

I believe in being a womanly woman; Lady like in my movements, careful of my conduct and speech and truthful in all things.

I believe that a pure, high minded woman is the noblest of God's creations.

I believe that the love of a mother should be the guiding star of every girls life.

I believe in the benefit of thoughtful study, and in the uplifting and refining power of education.

I believe in the power of the human mind, and that there is no limit to the attainments of the mind.

I believe that these minds of ours were given to show the power of the Creator.

I believe in inspiration.

I bellieve in beauty, sunshine and fresh air.

I believe in the influence of the beautiful on the human heart, and that one who who likes the out of doors and often looks at the stars will not go far wrong.

I believe in cleanliness and truth.

I believe in the power of kindness.

I believe in grand thoughts, friendship and love.

I believe in being careful to whom I give confidence, in keeping good company, and keeping muself from those associates which would drag me down.

I believe in making quality, and not quantity, the standard of friendship.

I believe that no sacrifice is too great for those we love.

I believe that all men are equal and brothers of one anouther.

I believe that fear and cowardice are the among the worst enemies of man-kind.

I believe in applying myself to whatever I attempt to do, and in conquering whatever sets itself in my path as impediment to right living.

I believe in the ability of the heart to conceive goodness.

I believe in living every day as though it were my last and in always doing what is worth while.

Above all I believe in an Almighty God, who created all things, who sustaineth all things.

I believe that He is ever present with us, guarding and directing us through His spirit.

I believe in the efficiency of prayer.

I believe in original sin and in punishment after death.

I believe in salvation through Jesus Christ, and in the immortal life of the soul.

I beleive in living up to my privileges and creed as nearly as possible.

I believe that as I grow older more light will come upon me and I shall be able to see more clearly the purpose for which I was created.

I believe that when the crisis of my life comes I shall be able to stand firmly, being rooted and grounded in the love of Christ.

This shall be my symphony until such time as I shall be able to add to or change it in accordance with the wisdom which I shall receive.
