Stephen Ray Adcock, 63, of Dixon, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, WI. Stephen was a self-employed contractor.

Mr. Adcock was born July 17, 1952, in Carbondale, the son of Ben and Zella (Ellis) Adcock. He married Dorothy Chesnek on October 31, 1972 in Oregon.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Dixon; four sons, John (Kalie Taylor) Chesnek, Tobby (Jennifer) Adcock, Stephen (Tiffany) Adcock, Jacob (Cynthia) Adcock, all of Dixon; one brother, Dennis (Betty) Adcock, of Rockford; and seven grandchildren, Sage, Dalton, Tyler, Skylar, Elizabeth, Levi, and Damian.

Stephen was preceded in death by his mother; one sister, Janice Carver; and one brother, Kenneth Adcock.

Private graveside services will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon, at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
