Longtime Restaurant Owner
Dies At Age 74
Services for Toney Angelos, owner of the Jefferson Cafe at 71 North Third for many years, who died about 11 Monday night at St. Joseph Hospital, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation. Burial will be in Point Church Cemetery.
Mr. Angelos, who was 74, had been in the restaurant business since he came Memphis from Greece about 55 years ago.
Mr. Angelos bought his own restaurant many years ago and operated it with his wife, Mrs. Myrtie Lou Angelos. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. Mr. Angelos lived at 1308 Tutwiler.
He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Lambro Limberi and Mrs. Demetra Hafani, both of Greece.
