John H. Bowers, on December 18, 2015, of Runnemede. Age 91.
Beloved husband of Alice for 69 years. Devoted father of Alice Bowers-Maloney (Jim) and Karen L. Cella. Dear brother of the late Robert Bowers. Loving grandfather of Brynn Hansen Drisch and Amanda Cella. Cherished great-grandfather of Evan and David Drisch. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
John proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was also the owner of John Bowers Auto Wholesaler in Runnemede, a lifelong member of the Runnemede VFW Post #3324, and a member of the Antique Car Club of America.
There will be a viewing from 10am to 12pm Wednesday morning at GARNDER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral service 12pm at the funeral home. Interment Chews United Methodist Cemetery, Glendora. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to Holy Redeemer HomeCare and Hospice, 150 Ninth Avenue, Runnemede, NJ 08078.
