Andrew Joseph Tschacher married Marie Graf. The couple was married in St. Peters, Hungary at the St. Peters Church on May 6, 1861. The couple had five sons and five daughters. Andrew gathered his family and sailed for America on the ship Cimbria out of Hamburg, Germany on June 16, 1875 and arrived in New York, New York on July 1, 1875. The family first set out for Iowa, and then later Andrew and Marie moved to Nebraska.

Andreas born Sept. 1864 Szentandras, Moson, Hungary and died before family came to America.
Rosalia born Oct. 1865 Saint Andrews, Austria and died before family came to America.
Joseph Henry born Feb. 28, 1868 in Lake Neusiedl, Austria.
Mary born Aug. 11, 1870 in Lake Neusiedl, Austria.
Andrew Jacob born Nov. 8, 1873 in Lake Neusiedl, Austria.
Elizabeth born Nov. 1, 1875 in Dubuque, Iowa, 4 months after family arrived from Europe.
Anna Cathrine born Oct. 6, 1876 Clearwater, Iowa.
Katherine born Aug. 25, 1878 Guttenburg, Iowa.
Michael Henry born on Feb. 6, 1880 Luxemburg, Iowa.
John Antone born on Aug. 23, 1883 Iowa City, Iowa.
On Jan. 19, 1887 at age 49 Andrew receive his Naturalization citizenship to the U.S.
Andrew and Marie moved to Nebraska in 1887 when they applied for a Homestead in March of 1887. Marie (Graf) Tschacher died June 20, 1896 and is buried in the Hemingford Cemetery. Andrew Joseph Tschacher then married widower Katrina (Stifter) Ramar on April 10, 1897. Andrew Joseph Tschacher died after falling down the cellar steps and breaking his hip. He was in the Alliance hospital for ten days before passing on, on October 11, 1927 and is buried in the Hemingford Cemetery. Andrew was 89 at time of death.
