Jim resided his entire life in this area graduating from Stanton Local High School and then enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Homer Laughlin China as a kiln placer for 26 years before becoming ill.
His wife, Wanda Hall Board whom he married June 21, 1976, survives him at home, as well as a son, James H. "Jimmy" Board III, at home; two daughters: Melissa Cline and her husband, Eddie, and Tracy L. Board, both of Wellsville, as well as three grandchildren: Chelsea Dawn Board, Bradly Christopher Cline and Gage Christian Cline.
Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Wellsville Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery where the Tri State Burial Group will accord full military honors.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Monday, Sept. 4, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
