Doug Stauffer was born on Oct 12, 1963 and was adopted by Edgar and Frances Stauffer. He was blessed with a sister Merilee Stauffer a short time later. Doug always had a way about him that showed who he was, never afraid to be who he was, and touched many peoples lives in different ways. He had an infectious personality that always had a reaction of some sort by those around him. Later in life he followed through with finding his heritage and started learning his native heritage. He was a believer in being true to yourself, live life to the fullest, and follow your heart. He will be missed by the many who called him family and friend.The Great Spirit called him home Nov 8, 2015 with a sudden heart attack. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and his father Edgar Stauffer. He is survived by his husband Jeffrey Clark, mother Frances Stauffer-White, sister Merilee Stauffer, and numerous cousins and friends.

Doug's ashes were split between mother and husband, with the mother's portion to be buried with her upon her death next to his father.
