She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Frederick; the United Daughters of the Confederacy, which she helped found here; Frederick County Historical Society. She helped organize the Frederick City Hospital and served on the original board of managers. She was active in civic affairs, being a member of the Frederick Civic Club and was active in public school affairs a number of years ago. Mrs. Urner studied art in Baltimore and New York.
Surviving are three sons: Joseph W. Urner, Frederick; Francis H. Urner, and Martin J. Urner, both of Hagerstown; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the late home; interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery; Harry E. Carty Company were the funeral directors.
