Kenneth Andrew Lomax, 87, died Tuesday, May 03, 2005. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2005, in Elm Valley Community Church with the Reverend Paul Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Gap Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola.

Kenneth was born February 7, 1918, in White Deer, to Bela and Ada Ritter Lomax. He was a US Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 1st Cavalry Division. He married Aileen Swaim September 30, 1946, in Huntsville, Arkansas. The couple moved to Abilene in 1951 and to the Elm Valley area in 1974. From 1951 to 1958, he worked for Lone Star Gas Company and then was a civil service employee at Dyess Air Force Base in the maintenance department, retiring in 1969. He was a charter member of Elm Valley Community Church and a charter member of ECCA Volunteer Fire Department.

Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers: H. M. Lomax, Pete Lomax and Robert Lomax.

Survivors include his wife Aileen of Tuscola; one daughter, Sherry Hall and husband Delbert of Tuscola; two sons, Kenneth Charles "Casey" Lomax and wife Sheila of Roseville, California and John Andrew Lomax and wife Rhonda of Tuscola; one brother, Howard Lomax of Abilene; three sisters, Georgia Chevez of Spearman, Wanda Terrell of Abilene, and Betty Davis of Granbury; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
