C.L. "Chuck" Bane, 77, of Manteca died Saturday in a hospital. Mr. Bane was born in Marceline, Mo. He lived in Manteca for 40 years. Mr. Bane retired after working for Occidental Petroleum. He was a chemical engineer. Mr. Bane served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was married for 23 years.
Survivors: wife, Gail Bane of Manteca; son, Charles Bane of Stockton; sisters, Fleta Lehman of Golden, Colo., Maurine Holmes of Hilton Head, S.C. and Opal Ageton, of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services: private. Mortuary: Park View Funeral Home.
