Joan L. Fritz, 83, Johnstown, passed away December 21, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born, December 29, 1931, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Dr. Robert J. and Lida (Cook) Fritz, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy McLeary. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Richard R. McLeary, nephews Richard W. McLeary, and David W. McLeary, and wife Andrea (Hironimus) all of Ligonier; great-niece, Noel McLeary Campagna, and husband Glenn, and nephew Devin R. McLeary, Nashville, TN. She was a 1950 graduate of Johnstown High School, a member of Anna E. Windolph, O.E.S #495, a life member of First Lutheran Church, 415 Vine St., Johnstown. Joan was a well known volunteer at the Cambria County Library, Lee Auxiliary, and 1st Lutheran Church, for many years. Friends will be received on Monday, December 28th from 10:00 AM until the time of services at Noon, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd., Rev. Lynn O'Shea officiating. Private interment Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to 1st Lutheran Church, or Cambria County Library, in Joan's memory.
