Robert “Bob” L. Brouse Sr., 74, of Coldwater, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Kim Cole officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of funeral service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Bob was born September 27, 1941 to Olen and Carrie E. (Sackett) Brouse in Coldwater. He married Frances Nail on August 7, 1995 in Angola, Indiana.
Bob worked for Quality Springs and then at Trans Pack and he finished his career with RB & W Components all in Coldwater as a laborer. He will be remembered for being a hard worker, jokester, playing softball, bowling and being a fan of Michigan State and the New York Yankees. He loved his church and was a spiritual leader at the Church of the Holy Spirit, his dogs Ellie Bell and Sadie Bell and he especially loved his entire family.
He is survived by his wife Frances of Coldwater; his children, Robert (Ann Franklin) Brouse Jr. of Indiana, Linda (Bill) Murphy of Coldwater, Jo Ann (Wayne) Cox of Coldwater, Ron (Jennifer) Brouse of Hillsdale and Tim Brouse of N. Carolina; his step children, Barry (Cora) Shackelford of Battle Creek, Shelley (Dave) Duran of Bryan, Ohio, Chris Shackelford of Angola, Indiana and Joseph (Julie) Shackelford of Jerome; 19 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Jack and Bill Brouse and his sister Linda Brouse.
