Essie Iris Bohannon, 102, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Friday, September 27, 1996, at her home. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, the widow of Oscar Bohannon and a resident of Van Buren since 1937. She was a homemaker and affiliated with Bohannon Canning Co.

Survivors include one daughter; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Ocker Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Steele officiating. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were her great-grandsons.

Funeral family visited with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ocker Funeral Home.
