Aaron A. Knoll Aaron A. Knoll, 96, of West 29th Street in Erie, passed away Sunday at. St. Mary's Home. Born in Erie April 29, 1912, he was the son of the late Edmund A. and Ida Mary Illig Knoll. He had been Vice President of W.A. Case Company and then a representative in New York State and Erie County, Pa. for many plumbing manufacturers. He loved tending his gardens. Mr. Knoll was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Julia E. McCluskey Knoll, in 1965; his second wife, Loretta Keogh Botsford Knoll, in 1993; his daughter, Alicia Powers Knoll last December 9th; seven brothers, E. Mellitus, Rear Admiral Denys, Rev. Mark, Hugh, Gregory, Gerald and John Knoll; and three sisters, Sr. Constance Marie, Emelia Ann and Alice Knoll. Surviving are two sons, James A. Knoll, wife Lois, Morehead, Ky; John C. Knoll, of Buffalo, N.Y; a daughter, Julia J. Wagner, husband Thomas, of Gilbert, Ariz; three grandchildren Aaron J. of New York City, Diana J. of Lexington, Ky. and Alicia E. Buffalo, N.Y; three sisters, Mary Louise Murphy, Jane Lyons, and Dorothy M. Knoll, all of Erie; and many nieces and nephews. Calling at Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th at Greengarden, Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Bread of Life Community, 24th and Sassafras St., Thursday at 9:00 a.m. Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kenmore, N.Y. Memorials to St. Joseph Church 2401 Sassafras St. Erie, PA 16502.
