Alvilda Keisler Steele, 86, was born May 5, 1929 to the late Callie S. Keiser and Geneva Roberts Keisler. Mrs. Steele passed away December 26, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, daughter, Charm K. Steele and brother, Jason N. Keisler.
She was devoted to her church and sang in the choir for many, many years. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her husband, R. Coolidge Steele; son: Kevin (Dotti) Steele; grandchildren: Justin (Taylor) and Karlie, great grandson: Cason; brother: Truman (Barbara) Keisler of Florence; sister: Delphine Fredrick of North Charleston; sister-in-law: Ruby Keisler; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church with Pastor Bob Helton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church following the services. Pallbearers will be Perry Derrick, Jeff Neese, Kirk Neese, George Harmon, Todd Keisler and Tim Keisler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 1273 Calks Ferry Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Barr-Price Funeral Home assisted the family.
