Simon was the seventh child and the fourth son born to John Washington and Miranda Ophela Swinney.He was married first to Josephine Bearden on August,25,1904. After 1933 he was married to Erma Racine. He was postmaster,store owner and Rail Road ticket agent at Swift Missouri.He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife and five of his siblings.
