They moved to the Wedgwood Rock neighborhood of north Seattle, where they had three sons, then lived in Mercerwood and Parkwood on Mercer Island for 30 years and in The Woods in Issaquah for 17 years. A year after Mr. Eals' death in 2002, Mrs. Eals moved to Merrill Gardens Admiral Heights in West Seattle. She suffered strokes in 2004 and spent her final six years at Park West Care Center.
She held sales and office positions in Seattle in the 1940s, assisted her husband's sales work in the 1950s and1960s, then worked 18 years in the Bellevue Traffic Violations Bureau. She enjoyed volunteering, traveling with her husband and hosting family gatherings.
Survivors include three sons,four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Park West Care Center, 1703 California Ave. S.W. Her cremated remains will rest at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to a children's charity of choice. More info:dignitymemorial.com.
