VETERN EMPLOYEE OF D&H DIES HERE
Edward Stratton Completed 41 Years Of Service In April; Ill Several Months
Edward D. Stratton, a veteran employe of the Delaware and Hudson railroad, died at his home at No. 105 Beekman Street, this City at 9:50 o'clock last night after an illiness of several months. He was in his 69th year and was a well known resident of Plattsburgh.
Mr. Stratton was a native of Hemingford, P.Q. and came to the States a number of years ago. He became a citizen of this country shortly after his arrival. He had been employed by the railroad company 41 years last April.
Surviving Mr. Stratton are his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Scales, Mrs. Ross Lavigne and Mrs. Elmer Stafford, all of Plattsburgh; two sons, J. Edward Stratton of Port Chester, N.Y. and George S. Stratton of Albany; three brothers, James A. Stratton of Plattsburgh, Samuel O. Stratton of Collinsville, Calif. and Stuart S. Stratton of Hemingford, P.Q. besides several grand-children.
