Mr. Dever retired after 38 years with Tampa Electric’s I/C Department, and was a longtime member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, serving on several mission trips for the church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of IBEW Local 108. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building birdhouses for bluebirds, and playing with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Dever; sisters, Patty Dever and Dorothy Hall.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Grace; sons, Bill Dever Jr., Donald K. Dever and Fredrick A. Dever; stepson, Keith Womack; stepdaughter, Karen Stuart; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Stephens.
Services were held Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at St Andrews United Methodist Church in Brandon, with burial following at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
