Carl Charles Theaker, 87 of Mansfield, Died Friday morning, 16 sep 2005, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home due to complications of Parkinson's disease, Carl was born the youngest of six childred on 31 aug 1918, in Mansfield to Charles Carl Theaker and Bessie Erwinna Walker. He attended Mansfield Senior High School. As a teenager and young adult, he played baseball and still enjoyed attending and watching games. He met and married the love of his life Pauline Beard, on 11 may 1940. Carl joined the Navy adn served on the U.S.S. Laurens as an engineer during WWII. Upon his return he worked at Tappen Company as tool and die maker. He retired in 1983 after 44 yrs. Carl served as a Scout Master of Troop 113 for 25 yrs. He received his Silver Beaver Award in 1973 for outstanding service. His Troop turned out 40 Eagle Scouts.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Pauline; sister Clara Lucas of Pa.; Son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Deb Theaker of Bellville; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Vaughn Mullet of Ontario; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, William; sister, DeVee LeMunyon, and Leona McMullen; and twin sister, Katherine Creveling.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday 19 sep 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Rev. Gerald L. Wolleson from the Bellville United Methodist Church. Military Graveside services will follow in Mansfield Cemetery, conducted by the Joint Veterans Burial Squad.
